Excerpt - Hopes Of Evalon - Prequel
It was dark and not a noise could be heard. In the distance a cloud of light, smoke embraced with shadows was moving fast like explosion patterns. The cloud was coming closer. Adonis stood still, watching and studying the cloud as it approached him. As the cloud reached him, time slowed. In a split second, the cloud crashed against him like enharmonic waves against a cliff and nothing else could be seen, other than a blinding bright light. The dragon acknowledged the approaching danger looking up with a deafening roar. The dragon jumped upwards colliding hard with the Phoenix. There was a moment where it seemed that the dense fire was burning the black smoke as the two unwarranted forces melted into each other as they fought. After a while of fierce violent fighting, the core of the two unwarranted forces connected, sending out a bright powerful light spread across the meadow flattening a few nearby standing Evalon Knights and Wraiths. The Phoenix fell to the ground, its fire flaring brightly for a moment, then died with smoke misting the meadow as the fires died slowly. Then after a while, all that remained were the ashes floating in the wind........
